Lakers’ Luka Doncic out of lineup against Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without superstar Luka Doncic when they face the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.

Doncic has been ruled out due to left calf injury management and a right ankle sprain.

The five-time all-star has averaged 26.1 points, 7.6 assists and 8.6 rebounds in 13 games with the Lakers since arriving in a blockbuster trade from the Dallas Mavericks last month.

Doncic matched his season high with 45 points during Thursday’s 126-106 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Meanwhile, LeBron James will miss a third straight game with a left groin strain. Rui Hachimura (left patellar tendinopathy), Jaxson Hayes (right knee contusion) and Maxi Kleber (right foot surgery recovery) are also out of the lineup.

Los Angeles has listed Dorian Finney-Smith (left ankle injury management) and Gabe Vincent (left knee injury management) as doubtful for the game.

The Lakers (40-24) are fourth in the Western Conference and look to snap a three-game losing streak when they visit the Nuggets (42-24).
