However, the deeper he digs, the more he gets entangled in a huge conspiracy involving Teeja Sur, Punjab’s ultimate musical legacy. Chamak The Conclusion Review

Musical thriller Chamak is here with 6 more episodes, rounding off the story and giving Kaala justice. Or does it? This season is more action-packed, with Kaala trying to figure out his father’s killer and taking steps to ensure the right people face karma. Well, that’s not entirely true — Kaala has set his eyes on one person and plans to take him down. But is it the person he is looking for? The season weaves in and out of finding out the real culprit while also showcasing the emotional upheavals of these characters. In the midst of this is Kaala’s relationship with Jazz, who is facing her own demons while trying to make it big.

I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the twists that Chamak 2 brings to the table. Although the first season was quite the dud, the second has the intrigue of a crime thriller, and even though I am still not a fan of the protagonist, I found the twists to be quite exciting. Chamak answers the questions that we have been waiting to hear while also giving us something to hold on to if ever another season comes to fruition. The series takes everything in its first season and adds a crime-thriller flair to it, making things much more interesting and easy to binge.

Still at 50 minutes per episode, Chamak The Conclusion is much more palatable than its annoying previous season, leaving viewers speechless at the end of the runtime. There isn’t a moment in that last episode when I wasn’t absolutely shocked. I think it would’ve been better had the characters been written just a bit better, but I found the irony of Kaala’s life and revenge to be quite interesting and something new for Indian TV shows. You usually see protagonists coming out as winners in the end, but this one is quite bitter for everyone involved, and the devastation that is about to rain on Kaala is something that viewers will feel in their hearts by the end of the runtime.

Mohit Malik is surprisingly fantastic this season. He sells his role as the underdog who rises to the occasion. Isha Talwar and Akasa Singh continue to be flowerpots to Kaala’s chick magnet role. Somehow, that man makes women lose their senses just by being close to them. Paramvir Singh Cheema’s character takes an interesting turn, and I found him to be a bit more palatable this season. It’s a bit far-fetched and crazy, but it’s better than being bored… which I was in season 1.

Kaala The Conclusion is a much more palatable entry and keeps you guessing till the end. Kaala’s schemes might or might not turn out to be a good idea for him, but viewers will find themselves absolutely shocked, I am quite sure.
